Dr. Alexandre Blake, MD, Msc, preparing PhD

Alexandre is a Medical Doctor specialized in Public Health and infectious diseases epidemiology with more than 10 years of experience.

He is proficient in data analysis and visualization, and has expertise in infectious diseases, particularly measles and cholera, and their dynamics in low-income countries.

Alexandre gathered experience in strengthening surveillance to monitor outbreaks through his involvement in several projects in sub-Saharan counties including, Guinea, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Zambia, but also Haiti. He designed and implemented field studies including vaccine coverage and seroprevalence surveys in Haiti and DRC, but was also involved in case control studies in Zambia, Haiti, and French Polynesia.

Alexandre holds a MD degree, specialized in Public Health, and a Master of Science in Epidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He currently pursues a PhD in Biology, in Penn State University.
